This was about the time I jumped online, early '90s. I was fascinated with this world wide web thing. I was like hallelujah my ship has finally come in! Boy was I wrong, it hadn't even left the freaking dock!

Dropout Became An Online Success Story.
Others have tried to tell my story and didn't get it quite right.
So right now I'm going to break it down for you and share with you what really happened, how I did it (which wasn't really hard at all, even for a college dropout) and how I made the money.

And I was actually in the midst of moving from TX to GA at the time.
As much as those GURUS out there want you to believe that this whole internet thing is overly complicated, in reality its really not. I understand it may be scary because for fear of the unknown.
Trust me I had my doubts about this stuff too but there is really a sim

Now this may sound a bit obvious but making money online is really just about getting a list and finding something to sell to them.....DUH..right! See I just saved you about two grand right there!
So Here's What I Did To Make $11,000 Grand in 3 Days!
I have always been very interested in finances. Let's just say I like money as I'm sure you can tell. This niche was in the financial industry, particularly CPA's.
If you know anything about the characteristics of a CPA well...let's just say they have their own way of thinking about EVERYTHING and don't like folks like me, college dropouts, telling them what to do and how to do it.
Anyways, some kind of way I winded up on this guys email list. I don't know how but I did. He would send out like a weekly newsletter which I felt the content was fabulous.
The subject's of his emails always caught my eye and the newsletters were pretty good, however his website SUCKED to no end!
And this is where the REAL story begins.
So I sent him an email with the subject line....
MAN YOUR WEBSITE MARKETING SUCKS!
I was pretty nervous when I sent him the email but I said to myself "what the hell it's not like he can reach through my computer and choke me to death." so I sent it anyways.
This started up the dialogue. In a nutshell he wrote me back saying "Who the hell are you and what can you do to help me?"
I really didn't have any intentions on this turning into a financial opportunity for me. I was just going to give him some pointers to make his site more attractive and increase his site conversions.
This is a true example that even when you may be scared but you know its the right thing to do...JUST DO IT anyway.
Our Dialogue Progressed Into Profits For Me.
The content of this guys website was great, however he was not using the full potential of internet marketing. So I sent him an email back giving him some pointers for example:

His site was full of long boring text.

He had not one single picture of himself on the site.
-
There was no audio or video on the site.
-
He didn't have an optin box to collect new subscribers. (I don't know how he was emailing a list...was he just spamming folks?...until this day I don't know)
There was some other stuff but this was the obvious. We dialogued back and forth for a couple of weeks and then one day I get an email in my box with the subject line from him "I'll Pay You To Teach Me".
I thought to myself hmmmmm.....
When I opened the email he basically said "Look you've been giving me some very good advice and I want to pay you to consult with me."
I thought to myself....I don't have time to consult with this guy I have my own business to run with new product launches on the horizon. I was moving at the time and honestly I didn't want to lose focus.
How I Got Suckered Into Taking
Money For My Knowledge!
I wrote him back and said "Thanks but no thanks I got too much going on." And I had actually forgotten about it for some weeks until he emailed me again.

Was the subject of the email! I was like okay this dude is persistent and I like that about him but what I was thinking was I'll double my normal consulting fee just to get rid of him.
While typing the email back to him I was saying to myself this will get him to leave me alone. So I told him I would consult with him for $500 per hour, minimum of 5 hours and I will pick the day and the times because it has to be around my schedule because of the business and upcoming move.
He wrote me back a couple of days later and said ok where do I send payment?
Holy Sh*t He Took The Deal! I
Should Have Asked For More Money!
Two things I learned from this was:
1. I should have asked for more money!
2. My consulting fees were too low to begin with!
This is where the Real story gets told straight from me because I know you're no dummy and I'm not going to pretend.
$6000 of the $11k was in consulting fees. What I did with this client was work with him step by step using my system which was created with him and perfected through the years.
I then sold the system to that small list I told you I forgot about, which consisted of people in the financial industry. So besides those handful of customers....No one has ever seen this!
In all I actually generated about $11,340 in 3 Days Online!
